The Orphans, Widows, and Disabled (OWD) Ministry at Gospel for All Nations is a caring and welcoming community committed to improving the lives of people in need. Our mission, founded on biblical principles, lends a helping hand to individuals who are frequently excluded and overlooked.
For orphans, we highlight God’s heart for the fatherless, borrowing inspiration from James 1:27. “Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.”
We encourage widows to find comfort and strength in God, quoting Psalm 68:5: “Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.”
Similarly, we remind the crippled of their intrinsic worth and dignity in God’s eyes, quoting Psalm 139:14. “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.”
In times of difficulty, the ministry stresses community solidarity and reciprocal care, as described in Acts 20:35: “In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.'”
Furthermore, we endeavor to help those in our ministry overcome obstacles and live fulfilled lives. Isaiah 41:10 is a guiding light: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
The OWD Ministry is dedicated to showing God’s love and compassion by offering love, support, and practical assistance to orphans, widows, and the disabled.
